Excellent condition and verified working when decommissioned from a demonstration machine. Very few operating hours. Including mounting brackets as shown in photo.
Fife's SE-24 is a versatile ultrasonic sensor that can be used to guide both clear films and most opaque webs. It is unaffected by optical variation or ambient light and thus avoids the need for multiple sensors, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. The SE-24 uses ultra- sonic sound to detect the web edge, but will not affect photo- sensitive paper or film. Advanced circuitry reduces the effect of the standing waves, as well as temperature variations, improving overall performance.
Ultrasonic waves transmitted by the SE-24 are deflected away and/or absorbed by the web material, regardless of opacity. Sound waves that pass the edge of the web are picked up by the receiver, which accurately defines the position of the edge. The SE-24 has a standard gap of 37 mm and can be used for single edge or center guiding. The control range (proportional band) of this sensor is 10 mm.
