In the coming months I will be selling a good bit of my vintage lingerie collection, including panties, bras, garter belts, shapers, nylon stockings and more.  I've collected lingerie for more than twenty years and have too much of it!  Non-smoking, pet-free home and environment.
All items are to be considered vintage unworn and are offered for collectible purposes.  All garments have been washed and cleaned.  Any flaws noticed will be mentioned.

Please bear with me, if you genuinely collect vintage lingerie, these are important.  If they do not sell this go around they will not be back, I will be glad to keep them.  These are genuine late 1940's/early 1950's shaper girdle garter panties in unusually good condition for their age, and I've had them since the mid-1990's when I acquired them from the original owner (true story).  My husband and I did a lot of WWII veterans' reunions in the 1980's through the early 2000's and part of my bit was performing with a couple of girls and we mimicked the Andrews Sisters.  Doing this, we met a LOT of fantastic veterans.  One lady had been voted
"Miss USO 1943"
(it was a regional title) and she still lived in town and came to a lot of our events.  We became good friends, and she invited me over to go through a lot of her leftover 1940's dresses to see what I could use.  She was a pistol if there ever was one!
I spent the day at her house, ended up with about six dresses I still have, and always will, and we also got into her lingerie drawer and she shared a lot of stories I cannot share here! Regrettably she passed about ten years ago.  When I saw her vintage lingerie collection she had stuffed away I almost flipped!  She hadn't thought anything of it, but we went through all of it and I ended up taking a box home with me.  Some items, unfortunately, had ruined because the rubber material had gone bad, but trust me, she had some VERY exotic lingerie for looking like a typical innocent little grandma!  We both had a lot of laughs and she most definitely enjoyed the 1940s to the fullest!  She toured bases in the Southeast as Miss USO and even performed with Frances Langford several times.  When I held up some of the lingerie that was extremely daring, she would laugh, blush, and say, "Well, we had to keep the boys' spirits up!  That was our job!"  I loved her, she was a blast to be around, and she was a marvelous dancer even in her older years.
I am keeping most everything I got, but this pair of girdle panties may need a new home.  I wear a 7/8 panty and these are quite a tight squeeze now but I can still get into them, as you can see.  There are two small picks in the fabric at the right hip but they are stable and not running, they've been this way since I got them, and, one neatly sewn repair that's also been stable since I got them.  These appeared in several vintage lingerie photo shoots and the LSU textiles department even had them on display for a short while!  Given how nice the elastic and garters are, they were probably never used for anything but modeling or showing off.
These don't date from WWII I'm certain, I'd say late 1940's judging by their construction (the last photo is taken inside/out to show how these are made, they are built like a tank!).  If you want girdle panties that belonged to Miss USO 1943, where are you going to get this chance again?  I have copy photos of her at a local air base (clothed of course) and I will send copies to the winning bidder with her name.  These are being sold as vintage unworn, for display, as they're somewhat historic, and I intend these to be sold as collector's items more than anything else.  That said, there's no damage other than what was mentioned and the elastic is very, very, strong.  If you're a serious lingerie collector or enthusiast, I'll not be selling many of her things, so, this is an interesting chance to get something will real history.  Thanks much!
For reference sake, they're being modeled by someone who usually wears a size 7/8 panty, large or extra-large and they are now very snug!  I was smaller when I acquired these!
